Purse-Impressions Announces Board of Directors and Special Advisory Council

“Purse-Impressions is a Nonprofit Corporation that provides ‘fresh start’ purses to graduates of rehab honoring the memory of the founder’s daughter.”

Cave Creek, AZ  – Purse-Impressions, a nonprofit corporation that rewards graduates from rehab with a purse to celebrate their accomplishments, announced today the nomination and appointment of the  Board of Directors and a Special Advisory Council.

Joining the Founder and elected President, Patricia Brusha on the Board are Kathy Allogia -Vice President and Carol Rogers- Secretary. The Board of Directors is the governing body of Purse-Impressions and will oversee the organization’s activities. Their focus is on the organization’s mission, strategy, and goals.

“The board is united in keeping the memory of my daughter Courtney alive” Brusha commented “I can never replace Courtney, but I can make her dream a reality by helping other women  recognize their amazing efforts to fight addiction. This will be accomplished through the efforts of the board and special advisory council”

Introducing the inaugural board:

Kathy Allogia Vice President– “Courtney was my sweet, fun, adorable niece. The only child of my sister, Patricia, who held a very special place in my heart. So, as a participant on the board of Purse Impressions, I hope to continue to give the Rehab graduates the idea of healthy living, confidence, and the value of giving to others.”

Carol Rogers Secretary- “Courtney had such a big heart full of love, she was full of creativity and energy, would do anything for anyone! We had many connections including our love of purses! However, our most prominent bond was our passion for giving back to others. My involvement with Purse-Impressions provides a way to give and help others on behalf of myself and Courtney, a definite win-win.

The Special Advisory Council, appointed by the Board of Directors, shall possess the desire to serve the community and support the work of the Corporation by providing specialized expertise and professional knowledge.

Introducing our initial council members:

  • Celina Gillis – Special Advisory Council- Canadian Committee Chair
  • Lea Brusha- Special Advisory Council- Purchasing & Logistics Chair
  • Christy Heenan- Special Advisory Council- Marketing Committee Chair
  • Paula Harris- Special Advisory Council- Silent Auction Committee Chair

Purse-Impressions made its first donation of 400 purses to the Renascent Centre in Toronto . Currently they are collecting purses and essential items that will be donated to the Aurora Behavioral Health System in time for the upcoming Holiday season.

The charity will hold an annual fundraising event in Arizona in February 2020 but are accepting donations continually throughout the year.
